Why Moms?

Because moms make the world go round and you know it! But how many times have you (as a mom) stopped and prioritized taking photos with your kids and yourself? Probably not a whole lot, huh?

The Momma Project for me is a way to make sure that moms do not miss out on having those moments captured whether it is maternity, the first days of having a newborn, or even after that when they are grown and still willing to take a photo with you. I currently only have toddlers but I have heard that the last part doesn’t last long.

As a mom myself, I completely understand possibly not wanting to have your photo taken. You feel like a hot air balloon during pregnancy (especially during the summer months), or the fact you just had a baby yesterday, or you work full time and then take care of the kids once you get home so there is no time to sit down and pamper yourself…..sound familiar? If it doesn’t can you please email me your secret cause I need to know!!

Moms do not stop. My husband asked me the other day if I knew that studies showed moms only turn off 10% of their brain when sleeping while dads shut off 70% of their brain. you’re probably saying, “That’s not surprising!” right now, because We DO NOT stop. Which is exhausting at the end of the day, so exhausting we forget about ourselves.

With The Momma Project, I want to remind women who they are. Yes, you are a mom but you are also Strong, Beautiful, and a Bad Ass if you’ll allow me to say it. You grew a human, or you have taken one in and they now completely rely on you to keep them alive! That is a big deal! Moms, grandmas, great-grandmas, adopted moms, foster moms, IVF moms, the list goes on. You put yourself last to take of another human and raise them. You should be celebrated and loved.
